Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.15% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML), which rose 1.56% or 2.50 points to trade at 162.86 at the close. Meanwhile, Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO) added 1.40% or 1.11 points to end at 80.16 and Koninklijke DSM NV (AS:DSMN) was up 1.32% or 1.20 points to 91.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unilever NV DRC (AS:UNc), which fell 1.42% or 0.70 points to trade at 48.78 at the close. Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) declined 1.10% or 0.960 points to end at 86.260 and WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) was down 0.95% or 1.36 points to 142.42.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 72 to 50 and 15 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 3.54% to 12.74.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.56% or 0.32 to $57.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $67.10 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.36% or 4.75 to trade at $1332.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1348, while EUR/GBP rose 0.00% to 0.8682.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 96.312.
