Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.11% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Shell PLC (AS:SHEL), which rose 1.14% or 0.37 points to trade at 32.71 at the close. Meanwhile, BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) added 0.85% or 1.25 points to end at 149.00 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) was up 0.61% or 4.20 points to 691.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR), which fell 1.50% or 1.50 points to trade at 98.28 at the close. Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO) declined 1.22% or 0.76 points to end at 61.34 and Randstad NV (AS:RAND) was down 0.97% or 0.46 points to 47.02.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 56 to 50 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.22% or 0.76 to 61.34. Shares in ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) rose to all time highs; rising 0.61% or 4.20 to 691.60.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.37% or 1.79 to $77.32 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.11% or 1.68 to hit $81.30 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 1.60 to trade at $2,326.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.47% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 104.81.
