Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.11% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY), which rose 1.70% or 1.4000 points to trade at 83.6000 at the close. Meanwhile, ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) added 1.07% or 0.110 points to end at 10.408 and Aegon NV (AS:AEGN) was up 1.07% or 0.048 points to 4.528 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN), which fell 1.26% or 8.40 points to trade at 657.80 at the close. Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) declined 0.70% or 0.46 points to end at 64.94 and IMCD NV (AS:IMCD) was down 0.61% or 0.50 points to 81.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 81 to 49 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY) rose to all time highs; up 1.70% or 1.4000 to 83.6000.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 1.90% to 11.34.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.94% or 0.54 to $56.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.02% or 0.65 to hit $63.17 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.90 to trade at $1418.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.1283, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.8969.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 96.350.
