Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Construction & Building Materials, Real Estate and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 1.61% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Involys (CS:INV), which rose 6.00% or 7.50 points to trade at 132.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Maghrebail (CS:MAB) added 5.42% or 36 points to end at 700 and Centrale Laitiere (CS:LAIT) was up 4.46% or 50 points to 1170 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BMCI (CS:BMCI), which fell 5.99% or 40 points to trade at 619 at the close. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) declined 5.90% or 1.53 points to end at 24.38 and Lafarge Ciments (CS:LAC) was down 5.88% or 110 points to 1760.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 14 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.26% or 0.11 to $43.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.15% or 0.07 to hit $49.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.47% or 5.20 to trade at $1117.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.27% to 10.8210, while USD/MAD rose 0.04% to 9.7682.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 96.82.
