Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Construction & Building Materials and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 1.49% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Aluminum du Maroc SA (CS:ALU), which rose 5.94% or 66 points to trade at 1176 at the close. Meanwhile, Maghrebail (CS:MAB) added 5.60% or 35 points to end at 659 and Snep (CS:SNP) was up 5.16% or 5.45 points to 111.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Douja Prom Addoha (CS:ADH), which fell 6.00% or 1.59 points to trade at 24.91 at the close. Eqdom (CS:EQDM) declined 6.00% or 72 points to end at 1128 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was down 5.99% or 3 points to 45.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 30 to 15 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Douja Prom Addoha (CS:ADH) fell to all time lows; down 6.00% or 1.59 to 24.91. Shares in Alliances (CS:ADI) fell to all time lows; losing 5.99% or 3 to 45.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.39% or 1.59 to $45.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.07% or 1.01 to hit $48.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.78% or 19.90 to trade at $1136.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.20% to 10.9480, while USD/MAD rose 0.30% to 9.6300.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.31% at 94.92.
