Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Electrical & Electronic equipment, Telecoms and Forestry & Paper sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 1.31%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Centrale Laitiere (CS:LAIT), which rose 5.98% or 60 points to trade at 1056 at the close. Meanwhile, Label Vie (CS:LBV) added 5.83% or 70 points to end at 1200 and Snep (CS:SNP) was up 5.42% or 6.55 points to 127.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Maghrebail (CS:MAB), which fell 6.00% or 48 points to trade at 752 at the close. Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) declined 5.97% or 11.05 points to end at 173.80 and Hps (CS:HPS) was down 5.86% or 27.00 points to 460.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 29 to 11 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 3.15% or 1.83 to $59.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 3.20% or 2.00 to hit $64.69 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.33% or 3.90 to trade at $1177.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.23% to 10.8780, while USD/MAD rose 0.36% to 9.6870.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 95.10.
