Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Invest Companies & Other Finance, Oil & Gas and Pharmaceutical Industry sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.78% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cartier Saada (CSE:CRS), which rose 4.95% or 1.69 points to trade at 35.80 at the close. Meanwhile, IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:IBC) added 3.65% or 1.35 points to end at 38.38 and Afric Industries Sa (CSE:AFI) was up 2.14% or 6.50 points to 310.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM), which fell 9.69% or 45.85 points to trade at 427.10 at the close. Societe Equipement Domestique et Menager SA (CSE:EQD) declined 7.52% or 88.00 points to end at 1,082.00 and Ste Promotion Pharmaceutique du Maghreb SA (CSE:PRO) was down 5.93% or 60.00 points to 952.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 36 to 12 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 5.11% or 3.77 to $70.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 4.82% or 3.73 to hit $73.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 10.25 to trade at $2,675.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.19% to 10.73, while USD/MAD unchanged 0.02% to 9.80.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 102.92.
