Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Banking and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.71% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which rose 9.26% or 2.88 points to trade at 33.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Involys (CS:INV) added 6.63% or 7.95 points to end at 127.95 and Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) was up 6.50% or 1.50 points to 24.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI), which fell 5.99% or 5.86 points to trade at 91.91 at the close. Agma Lahlou-Tazi (CS:AGMA) declined 4.86% or 148 points to end at 2900 and Auto Hall (CS:AUTO) was down 3.66% or 3.40 points to 89.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 18 to 16 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) fell to all time lows; losing 5.99% or 5.86 to 91.91.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.08% or 0.05 to $65.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.54% or 1.15 to hit $73.59 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.70 to trade at $1270.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.09% to 11.0650, while USD/MAD fell 0.15% to 9.5354.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 94.52.
