Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Beverage, Chemicals and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.55% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Lydec (CS:LYD), which rose 9.52% or 50.00 points to trade at 575.00 at the close. Meanwhile, IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) added 7.38% or 4.80 points to end at 69.80 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) was up 5.90% or 6.20 points to 111.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which fell 5.97% or 8.65 points to trade at 136.35 at the close. Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) declined 5.67% or 170 points to end at 2830 and Maghrebail (CS:MAB) was down 4.63% or 44 points to 906.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 23 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) fell to all time lows; down 5.97% or 8.65 to 136.35.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.43% or 0.30 to $69.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.31% or 0.24 to hit $77.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1205.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.35% to 10.9410, while USD/MAD rose 0.31% to 9.4395.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 95.11.
