Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Oil & Gas and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Involys (CS:INV), which rose 7.08% or 8.00 points to trade at 121.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Aluminum du Maroc SA (CS:ALU) added 4.00% or 64 points to end at 1664 and Snep (CS:SNP) was up 2.15% or 8.85 points to 420.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA), which fell 8.93% or 1.25 points to trade at 12.74 at the close. Med Paper (CS:PAP) declined 8.22% or 1.89 points to end at 21.11 and Afriquia Gaz (CS:AGAZ1) was down 7.18% or 232 points to 3001.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 18 to 11 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.36% or 0.19 to $51.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.25% or 0.15 to hit $60.79 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.55 to trade at $1294.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.11% to 10.8814, while USD/MAD rose 0.13% to 9.5401.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 95.637.
