Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Insurance and Holding Companies sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Risma (CS:RIS), which rose 5.98% or 6.70 points to trade at 118.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Micro Data SA (CS:MIC) added 4.43% or 5.90 points to end at 139.00 and Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) was up 3.54% or 1.85 points to 53.99 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Timar (CS:TIM), which fell 5.98% or 22.10 points to trade at 346.90 at the close. BMCI (CS:BMCI) declined 4.69% or 31 points to end at 627 and Hps (CS:HPS) was down 3.82% or 20.90 points to 526.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 24 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.18% or 1.47 to $47.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.57% or 1.23 to hit $49.06 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1273.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.08% to 10.9330, while USD/MAD fell 0.12% to 9.6585.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 94.47.
