Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Construction & Building Materials and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were SMI (CS:SMI), which rose 9.08% or 129 points to trade at 1549 at the close. Meanwhile, BMCI (CS:BMCI) added 3.00% or 21 points to end at 712 and Micro Data SA (CS:MIC) was up 2.88% or 8.00 points to 286.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which fell 5.99% or 6.95 points to trade at 109.05 at the close. Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) declined 4.84% or 2.09 points to end at 41.10 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was down 4.83% or 20 points to 390.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 20 to 15 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) fell to all time lows; down 5.99% or 6.95 to 109.05.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 3.87% or 2.09 to $51.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.11% or 1.95 to hit $60.74 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.85 to trade at $1315.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.08% to 10.8363, while USD/MAD rose 0.00% to 9.5463.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 96.222.
