Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Electrical & Electronic equipment, Real Estate and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which rose 5.68% or 5.66 points to trade at 105.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Jet Contractors (CS:JET) added 5.23% or 8.90 points to end at 178.90 and Involys (CS:INV) was up 4.93% or 5.80 points to 123.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Douja Prom Addoha (CS:ADH), which fell 7.78% or 2.87 points to trade at 34.00 at the close. IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) declined 5.43% or 3.17 points to end at 55.13 and S2M (CS:S2M) was down 5.39% or 12.80 points to 224.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 24 to 18 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.16% or 0.06 to $38.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.30% or 0.12 to hit $40.17 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.46% or 5.70 to trade at $1234.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was unchanged 0.00% to 10.9520, while USD/MAD fell 0.40% to 9.6223.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 94.56.
