Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Distributors, Pharmaceutical Industry and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.45% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Hps (CS:HPS), which rose 5.68% or 104.00 points to trade at 1934.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) added 4.60% or 0.76 points to end at 17.28 and Salafin (CS:SLF) was up 2.86% or 30 points to 1080 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which fell 9.99% or 3.87 points to trade at 34.85 at the close. Label Vie (CS:LBV) declined 6.38% or 150 points to end at 2200 and Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS) was down 4.89% or 239 points to 4651.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 19 to 15 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) fell to 52-week lows; losing 9.99% or 3.87 to 34.85.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.52% or 1.04 to $67.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $77.78 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1302.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was unchanged 0.00% to 11.0830, while USD/MAD fell 0.07% to 9.4940.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 93.99.
