Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Insurance and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.44% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Microdata (CS:MIC), which rose 5.59% or 7.90 points to trade at 149.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Auto Hall (CS:AUTO) added 3.98% or 3.55 points to end at 92.65 and Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) was up 2.70% or 0.50 points to 19.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alliances (CS:ADI), which fell 5.68% or 6 points to trade at 95 at the close. Snep (CS:SNP) declined 4.82% or 6.50 points to end at 128.20 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was down 4.12% or 33 points to 767.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 21 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.70% or 1.61 to $58.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.95% or 1.94 to hit $63.59 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.44% or 17.30 to trade at $1187.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.24% to 10.7370, while USD/MAD rose 0.54% to 9.8745.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.95% at 97.38.
