Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Beverage, Pharmaceutical Industry and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.43% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI), which rose 5.99% or 6.65 points to trade at 117.65 at the close. Meanwhile, SMI (CS:SMI) added 5.92% or 184 points to end at 3290 and Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) was up 5.87% or 37 points to 667 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which fell 5.98% or 97 points to trade at 1526 at the close. Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) declined 4.69% or 149 points to end at 3030 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was down 2.77% or 18 points to 632.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 28 to 19 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.39% or 0.28 to $70.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.36% or 0.28 to hit $76.93 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.70 to trade at $1319.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.20% to 11.1700, while USD/MAD fell 0.21% to 9.3871.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 92.65.
