Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Real Estate and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were S2M (CS:S2M), which rose 8.21% or 19.95 points to trade at 263.00 at the close. Meanwhile, SMI (CS:SMI) added 6.00% or 192 points to end at 3393 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) was up 5.99% or 7.90 points to 139.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centrale Danone (CS:CDA), which fell 5.99% or 45 points to trade at 705 at the close. Colorado (CS:COL) declined 5.88% or 5.00 points to end at 80.00 and Douja Prom Addoha (CS:ADH) was down 3.93% or 1.41 points to 34.51.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 10 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.09% or 0.05 to $57.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.28% or 0.18 to hit $63.41 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 8.60 to trade at $1266.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.20% to 11.1570, while USD/MAD fell 0.23% to 9.4515.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 93.10.
