Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Distributors, Utilities and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Societe Equipement Domestique et Menager SA (CSE:EQD), which rose 8.24% or 93.00 points to trade at 1,221.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM) added 5.90% or 6.00 points to end at 107.70 and Auto Hall (CSE:ATH) was up 4.11% or 2.90 points to 73.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Marocaine pour le Commerce et l’Industrie Banque SA (CSE:BCI), which fell 4.76% or 30.00 points to trade at 600.00 at the close. Aradei Capital SA (CSE:ARD) declined 4.69% or 23.90 points to end at 486.10 and CDM (CSE:CDM) was down 4.56% or 42.00 points to 880.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 24 to 19 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.82% or 0.66 to $81.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.91% or 0.77 to hit $85.84 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.06% or 24.95 to trade at $2,371.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.45% to 10.68, while USD/MAD fell 0.14% to 9.95.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 105.18.
