Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Electrical & Electronic equipment, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Saham Assurance (CS:SAH), which rose 4.01% or 54 points to trade at 1400 at the close. Meanwhile, Label Vie (CS:LBV) added 3.63% or 69 points to end at 1970 and Delta Holding S.A (CS:DHO) was up 3.03% or 0.97 points to 32.99 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX), which fell 8.76% or 12.00 points to trade at 125.00 at the close. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) declined 5.34% or 1.36 points to end at 24.10 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was down 4.18% or 23 points to 525.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 21 to 8 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.36% or 1.77 to $73.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.99% or 1.69 to hit $83.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.00 to trade at $1193.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.16% to 10.9130, while USD/MAD fell 0.21% to 9.4610.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 95.09.
