Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were SMI (CS:SMI), which rose 5.67% or 155 points to trade at 2885 at the close. Meanwhile, Label Vie (CS:LBV) added 4.50% or 56 points to end at 1298 and Centrale Laitiere (CS:LAIT) was up 3.28% or 35 points to 1100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG), which fell 5.95% or 7.00 points to trade at 110.45 at the close. Microdata (CS:MIC) declined 4.53% or 6.80 points to end at 150.00 and Ennakl (CS:NAKL) was down 4.32% or 1.77 points to 39.13.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 21 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) fell to all time lows; falling 5.95% or 7.00 to 110.45.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.62% or 0.37 to $59.60 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.74% or 0.47 to hit $62.55 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.39% or 16.70 to trade at $1185.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.10% to 10.9110, while USD/MAD fell 0.32% to 9.6099.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 94.33.
