Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Real Estate, Insurance and Pharmaceutical Industry sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Lydec (CS:LYD), which rose 4.10% or 20.50 points to trade at 520.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Risma (CS:RIS) added 2.29% or 3.90 points to end at 173.90 and Disway SA (CS:DWY) was up 1.01% or 3.00 points to 300.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL), which fell 8.53% or 3.23 points to trade at 34.65 at the close. Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS) declined 8.05% or 350 points to end at 4000 and Douja Prom Addoha (CS:ADH) was down 7.81% or 1.14 points to 13.45.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 18 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 6.85% or 3.74 to $50.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 6.34% or 3.97 to hit $58.63 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.40% or 4.90 to trade at $1223.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.29% to 10.7810, while USD/MAD rose 0.35% to 9.5146.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 96.838.
