Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Invest Companies & Other Finance, Banking and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Risma (CS:RIS), which rose 5.98% or 7.00 points to trade at 124.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) added 5.98% or 9.10 points to end at 161.10 and BMCI (CS:BMCI) was up 5.92% or 31 points to 554 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salafin (CS:SLF), which fell 3.71% or 29 points to trade at 750 at the close. Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) declined 3.67% or 5.80 points to end at 152.10 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was down 3.35% or 1.91 points to 55.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 21 to 18 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 3.51% or 1.35 to $39.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.31% or 0.93 to hit $41.26 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 2.92% or 35.90 to trade at $1265.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.35% to 10.9500, while USD/MAD fell 0.42% to 9.6650.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.01% at 94.73.
