Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sonasid (CS:SOND), which rose 5.31% or 33 points to trade at 649 at the close. Meanwhile, Alliances (CS:ADI) added 3.23% or 5 points to end at 160 and Itissalat Al-Maghrib (CS:IAM) was up 2.27% or 3.50 points to 157.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Afriquia Gaz (CS:AGAZ1), which fell 5.97% or 197 points to trade at 3103 at the close. Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) declined 5.69% or 38 points to end at 630 and Lydec (CS:LYD) was down 3.87% or 24.00 points to 596.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 20 to 15 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.69% or 38 to 630. Shares in Itissalat Al-Maghrib (CS:IAM) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.27% or 3.50 to 157.90.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.91% or 0.62 to $68.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.57% or 1.16 to hit $74.95 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.47% or 6.20 to trade at $1317.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.10% to 11.2370, while USD/MAD rose 0.09% to 9.2838.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 91.54.
