Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Construction & Building Materials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Snep (CS:SNP), which rose 10.00% or 23.20 points to trade at 255.30 at the close. Meanwhile, BCP (CS:BCP) added 3.84% or 11.10 points to end at 300.00 and Auto Nejma (CS:NEJ1) was up 3.81% or 80 points to 2180 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Taslif (CS:TSF1), which fell 6.00% or 1.66 points to trade at 26.02 at the close. Timar (CS:TIM) declined 5.97% or 14.50 points to end at 228.50 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was down 4.90% or 2.60 points to 50.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 28 to 15 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Taslif (CS:TSF1) fell to 5-year lows; down 6.00% or 1.66 to 26.02. Shares in Auto Nejma (CS:NEJ1) rose to 5-year highs; rising 3.81% or 80 to 2180.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $53.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.21% or 0.12 to hit $56.92 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.94% or 11.35 to trade at $1219.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.11% to 10.7570, while USD/MAD fell 0.12% to 9.9799.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 99.53.
