Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Distributors and Invest Companies & Other Finance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM), which rose 5.94% or 5.70 points to trade at 101.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Residences Dar Saada SA (CSE:RDS) added 4.90% or 3.80 points to end at 81.30 and Cartier Saada (CSE:CRS) was up 4.29% or 1.29 points to 31.39 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salafin (CSE:SLF), which fell 6.18% or 36.90 points to trade at 560.00 at the close. Ste Promotion Pharmaceutique du Maghreb SA (CSE:PRO) declined 5.08% or 50.00 points to end at 934.00 and Nationale d’Electrolyse et de Petrochimie Ste SA (CSE:SNP) was down 3.64% or 18.90 points to 500.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 22 to 20 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.13% or 0.10 to $78.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.23% or 0.19 to hit $82.11 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.72% or 16.70 to trade at $2,343.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.46% to 10.71, while USD/MAD unchanged 0.00% to 9.95.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.25% at 103.88.
