Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Micro Data SA (CS:MIC), which rose 2.55% or 7.40 points to trade at 297.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) added 1.39% or 0.33 points to end at 24.00 and Cosumar (CS:CSMR) was up 1.33% or 4 points to 298 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Timar (CS:TIM), which fell 7.74% or 16.95 points to trade at 202.00 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) declined 7.69% or 11.00 points to end at 132.00 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was down 6.58% or 2.04 points to 28.95.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 28 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.59% or 1.62 to $60.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.33% or 1.53 to hit $64.26 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.65% or 8.70 to trade at $1326.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.05% to 11.3600, while USD/MAD rose 0.05% to 9.1664.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 89.65.
