Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Insurance and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI), which rose 5.99% or 165 points to trade at 2920 at the close. Meanwhile, Lydec (CS:LYD) added 5.98% or 36.80 points to end at 651.80 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) was up 5.71% or 7.40 points to 137.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Risma (CS:RIS), which fell 4.32% or 7.10 points to trade at 157.40 at the close. Saham Assurance (CS:SAH) declined 3.89% or 56 points to end at 1382 and Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM) was down 3.41% or 53 points to 1499.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 21 to 17 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.17% or 0.08 to $47.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.85% or 0.45 to hit $52.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 9.18 to trade at $1339.58 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.39% to 11.1520, while USD/MAD fell 0.09% to 9.3548.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 92.57.
