Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Electrical & Electronic equipment, Oil & Gas and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Risma (CS:RIS), which rose 3.00% or 4.05 points to trade at 139.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Cosumar (CS:CSMR) added 2.64% or 8 points to end at 294 and Lydec (CS:LYD) was up 2.19% or 13.10 points to 610.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Taslif (CS:TSF1), which fell 5.41% or 1.40 points to trade at 24.50 at the close. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) declined 4.62% or 2.45 points to end at 50.55 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) was down 3.64% or 5.90 points to 156.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 20 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.39% or 0.19 to $49.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.61% or 0.32 to hit $52.46 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.20% or 15.19 to trade at $1277.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.01% to 11.1330, while USD/MAD rose 0.01% to 9.4810.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 93.50.
