Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Construction & Building Materials and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Ennakl Automobiles (CS:NKL), which rose 8.00% or 2.80 points to trade at 37.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) added 5.85% or 0.95 points to end at 17.20 and BMCI (CS:BMCI) was up 4.20% or 27 points to 670 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SMI (CS:SMI), which fell 5.96% or 93 points to trade at 1468 at the close. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) declined 5.45% or 1.44 points to end at 25.00 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was down 4.76% or 1.00 points to 20.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 19 to 14 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 5.32% or 2.67 to $47.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 4.06% or 2.42 to hit $57.19 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1252.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.05% to 10.8830, while USD/MAD fell 0.12% to 9.5743.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 96.507.
