Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Forestry & Paper and Holding Companies sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which rose 7.69% or 2.00 points to trade at 28.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Disway SA (CS:DWY) added 6.54% or 22.90 points to end at 372.90 and Hps (CS:HPS) was up 4.14% or 87.00 points to 2187.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BMCI (CS:BMCI), which fell 8.58% or 66 points to trade at 703 at the close. Snep (CS:SNP) declined 3.53% or 19.00 points to end at 520.00 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was down 2.95% or 0.59 points to 19.41.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 16 to 11 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Hps (CS:HPS) rose to all time highs; gaining 4.14% or 87.00 to 2187.00. Shares in Med Paper (CS:PAP) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.95% or 0.59 to 19.41.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.28% or 0.20 to $71.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.54% or 0.43 to hit $79.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.00 to trade at $1223.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.11% to 10.9210, while USD/MAD rose 0.23% to 9.4520.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 94.91.
