Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Mining and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Hps (CS:HPS), which rose 6.00% or 27.00 points to trade at 477.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) added 5.96% or 6.90 points to end at 122.50 and Micro Data SA (CS:MIC) was up 5.62% or 7.40 points to 139.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Maghrebail (CS:MAB), which fell 5.87% or 41 points to trade at 657 at the close. Label Vie (CS:LBV) declined 5.85% or 75 points to end at 1205 and CTM (CS:CTM) was down 4.88% or 22.00 points to 450.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in CTM (CS:CTM) fell to 5-year highs; falling 4.88% or 22.00 to 450.00.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.10% or 0.53 to $47.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.55% or 0.84 to hit $53.77 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.03% or 11.20 to trade at $1097.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.46% to 10.8460, while USD/MAD fell 0.71% to 9.7660.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.87% at 96.50.
