Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Beverage, Insurance and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA), which rose 5.09% or 0.89 points to trade at 18.39 at the close. Meanwhile, Managem (CS:MNG) added 4.87% or 78 points to end at 1679 and Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) was up 2.98% or 0.70 points to 24.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saham Assurance (CS:SAH), which fell 6.86% or 109 points to trade at 1480 at the close. Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) declined 4.76% or 150 points to end at 3000 and Micro Data SA (CS:MIC) was down 2.44% or 6.90 points to 276.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 20 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.01% or 0.01 to $68.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.68% or 0.50 to hit $74.50 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.40 to trade at $1318.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.16% to 11.2440, while USD/MAD rose 0.15% to 9.2745.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 91.23.
