Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Forestry & Paper and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Taslif (CS:TSF1), which rose 5.97% or 1.32 points to trade at 23.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) added 4.11% or 54 points to end at 1369 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was unchanged 0.38% or 0 points to 78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which fell 6.02% or 1.60 points to trade at 25.00 at the close. Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND) declined 5.98% or 17.10 points to end at 268.90 and Disway SA (CS:DWY) was down 4.26% or 12.00 points to 270.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 13 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Disway SA (CS:DWY) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.26% or 12.00 to 270.00.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 4.86% or 2.42 to $52.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 4.21% or 2.47 to hit $61.19 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 4.05 to trade at $1289.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.31% to 10.8993, while USD/MAD fell 0.42% to 9.4574.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 94.942.
