Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Utilities, Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 1.96%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS:ADI), which rose 9.99% or 24 points to trade at 269 at the close. Meanwhile, Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 9.98% or 5.14 points to end at 56.62 and Involys (CS:INV) was up 7.75% or 10.50 points to 146.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CDM (CS:CDM), which fell 5.98% or 32 points to trade at 503 at the close. Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) declined 5.94% or 10.00 points to end at 158.30 and Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) was down 5.94% or 95 points to 1505.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 35 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.93% or 0.47 to $49.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.55% or 0.31 to hit $55.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.42 to trade at $1275.48 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.04% to 11.1030, while USD/MAD fell 0.10% to 9.4374.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.31.
