Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Food Producers & Processors, Pharmaceutical Industry and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.94%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 9.14% or 5.85 points to trade at 69.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Cosumar (CS:CSMR) added 7.36% or 12 points to end at 173 and Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) was up 5.27% or 4.95 points to 98.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SMI (CS:SMI), which fell 5.98% or 135 points to trade at 2122 at the close. CDM (CS:CDM) declined 5.88% or 32 points to end at 512 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was down 4.92% or 26 points to 510.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 29 to 16 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in SMI (CS:SMI) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.98% or 135 to 2122.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.06% or 0.04 to $68.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.37% or 0.27 to hit $72.85 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.00 to trade at $1229.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.25% to 11.0630, while USD/MAD fell 0.33% to 9.4484.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 94.36.
