Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction & Building Materials, Insurance and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.78% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were BMCI (CS:BMCI), which rose 6.06% or 40 points to trade at 700 at the close. Meanwhile, Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM) added 5.96% or 90 points to end at 1600 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) was up 5.30% or 8.50 points to 169.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which fell 5.98% or 97 points to trade at 1525 at the close. Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) declined 4.20% or 7.40 points to end at 168.60 and Auto Hall (CS:AUTO) was down 2.02% or 2.20 points to 106.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 25 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in BMCI (CS:BMCI) rose to 52-week highs; rising 6.06% or 40 to 700. Shares in Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM) rose to all time highs; up 5.96% or 90 to 1600.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.06% or 1.01 to $48.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.72% or 0.39 to hit $54.10 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.26 to trade at $1352.56 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.03% to 11.1920, while USD/MAD fell 0.09% to 9.2984.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 91.32.
