Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Distributors, Chemicals and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.61% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Label Vie (CS:LBV), which rose 6.00% or 72 points to trade at 1272 at the close. Meanwhile, Ib Maroc.Com (CS:IBMC) added 5.99% or 5.70 points to end at 100.80 and Jet Contractors (CS:JET) was up 5.98% or 12.15 points to 215.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which fell 8.80% or 9.95 points to trade at 103.05 at the close. Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) declined 4.45% or 7.00 points to end at 150.00 and Risma (CS:RIS) was down 2.34% or 4.80 points to 200.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 36 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) fell to all time lows; falling 8.80% or 9.95 to 103.05. Shares in Risma (CS:RIS) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.34% or 4.80 to 200.15.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.05% or 0.54 to $50.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.81% or 0.47 to hit $56.63 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 2.01% or 22.80 to trade at $1109.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.08% to 10.7370, while USD/MAD fell 0.12% to 9.8925.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 97.99.
