Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction & Building Materials, Beverage and Forestry & Paper sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.50% to hit a new 5-year high.

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Colorado (CSE:COL), which rose 4.56% or 2.29 points to trade at 52.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Ciments Du Maroc (CSE:CMA) added 4.37% or 80.00 points to end at 1,910.00 and Societe des Boissons du Maroc SA (CSE:SBM) was up 1.83% or 44.00 points to 2,449.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM), which fell 10.00% or 56.70 points to trade at 510.40 at the close. Lesieur Cristal (CSE:LES) declined 3.13% or 8.90 points to end at 275.00 and Marocaine pour le Commerce et l’Industrie Banque SA (CSE:BCI) was down 3.04% or 18.00 points to 570.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 19 and 8 ended unchanged.

Shares in Ciments Du Maroc (CSE:CMA) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.37% or 80.00 to 1,910.00.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.11% or 0.76 to $69.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.04% or 0.75 to hit $73.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 14.45 to trade at $2,572.05 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.58% to 10.52, while USD/MAD rose 0.29% to 9.99.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 106.50.
