Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Food Producers & Processors, Insurance and Holding Companies sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which rose 5.95% or 86 points to trade at 1531 at the close. Meanwhile, Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS) added 5.46% or 189 points to end at 3649 and Cosumar (CS:CSMR) was up 5.21% or 10 points to 200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CDM (CS:CDM), which fell 5.99% or 26 points to trade at 410 at the close. Snep (CS:SNP) declined 5.95% or 5.48 points to end at 86.51 and Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) was down 4.37% or 0.87 points to 19.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 21 to 15 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) rose to all time highs; gaining 5.95% or 86 to 1531. Shares in Cosumar (CS:CSMR) rose to 3-years highs; up 5.21% or 10 to 200.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.93% or 0.45 to $48.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.57% or 0.28 to hit $49.56 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.25% or 3.25 to trade at $1273.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.09% to 10.9130, while USD/MAD rose 0.40% to 9.6930.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 94.73.
