Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Holding Companies and Forestry & Paper sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Holcim Maroc SA (CS:HOL), which rose 4.77% or 103 points to trade at 2258 at the close. Meanwhile, Sothema (CS:SOT) added 4.00% or 50 points to end at 1300 and Attijariwafa Bank (CS:ATW) was up 3.22% or 11.05 points to 353.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atlanta (CS:ATL), which fell 5.17% or 3.28 points to trade at 63.40 at the close. BMCI (CS:BMCI) declined 3.57% or 23 points to end at 621 and Managem (CS:MNG) was down 3.37% or 30 points to 860.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 17 to 13 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in BMCI (CS:BMCI) fell to 5-year lows; down 3.57% or 23 to 621. Shares in Managem (CS:MNG) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.37% or 30 to 860.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.08% or 0.65 to $61.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.51% or 0.95 to hit $64.30 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.57% or 6.80 to trade at $1177.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.64% to 10.8500, while USD/MAD rose 0.89% to 9.7134.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.08% at 95.54.
