Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Real Estate and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS:ADI), which rose 4.05% or 10 points to trade at 257 at the close. Meanwhile, IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) added 3.23% or 4.20 points to end at 134.30 and Lydec (CS:LYD) was up 3.17% or 20.00 points to 650.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were S2M (CS:S2M), which fell 6.18% or 17.00 points to trade at 258.00 at the close. Unimer (CS:UMR) declined 3.95% or 7.00 points to end at 170.00 and Colorado (CS:COL) was down 2.64% or 1.85 points to 68.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 22 to 12 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.81% or 0.40 to $49.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.52% or 0.29 to hit $55.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.79% or 10.09 to trade at $1284.99 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.07% to 11.1000, while USD/MAD fell 0.20% to 9.4464.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 93.52.
