Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Holding Companies, Forestry & Paper and Distributors sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which rose 5.99% or 6.90 points to trade at 121.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Taslif (CS:TSF1) added 5.96% or 2.34 points to end at 41.54 and CDM (CS:CDM) was up 5.00% or 25 points to 518 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonasid (CS:SOND), which fell 10.00% or 75 points to trade at 675 at the close. Snep (CS:SNP) declined 5.84% or 6.90 points to end at 111.10 and Involys (CS:INV) was down 5.30% or 7.00 points to 125.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 18 to 17 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonasid (CS:SOND) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.00% or 75 to 675.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.12% or 0.05 to $43.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $49.76 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.39% or 15.40 to trade at $1123.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.55% to 10.8820, while USD/MAD fell 0.93% to 9.7102.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.24% at 96.03.
