Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Oil & Gas and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.16% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Total Maroc SA (CSE:TMA), which rose 6.67% or 100.00 points to trade at 1,600.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlanta (CSE:ATL) added 4.49% or 5.80 points to end at 135.00 and Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE:SNA) was up 3.68% or 0.57 points to 16.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM), which fell 3.72% or 17.95 points to trade at 465.00 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CSE:FBR) declined 2.85% or 3.25 points to end at 110.75 and Cartier Saada (CSE:CRS) was down 2.60% or 1.00 points to 37.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 26 to 24 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Total Maroc SA (CSE:TMA) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 6.67% or 100.00 to 1,600.00.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.04% or 0.03 to $70.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.05% or 0.04 to hit $73.65 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 4.95 to trade at $2,651.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.49% to 10.77, while USD/MAD unchanged 0.01% to 9.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 100.58.
