Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Transport and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.14% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM), which rose 9.97% or 15.90 points to trade at 175.30 at the close. Meanwhile, IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:IBC) added 6.00% or 1.74 points to end at 30.74 and Nationale d’Electrolyse et de Petrochimie Ste SA (CSE:SNP) was up 2.51% or 13.00 points to 530.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Immorente Invest SCA (CSE:IMO), which fell 2.15% or 2.00 points to trade at 91.00 at the close. Lesieur Cristal (CSE:LES) declined 1.75% or 5.00 points to end at 280.00 and Residences Dar Saada SA (CSE:RDS) was down 1.71% or 1.43 points to 82.22.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 20 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 9.97% or 15.90 to 175.30. Shares in Immorente Invest SCA (CSE:IMO) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.15% or 2.00 to 91.00.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.14% or 0.11 to $77.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.47% or 0.38 to hit $81.33 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.06% or 49.70 to trade at $2,366.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.44% to 10.67, while USD/MAD fell 0.62% to 9.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 103.98.
