Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Food Producers & Processors and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS), which rose 3.79% or 148 points to trade at 4048 at the close. Meanwhile, S2M (CS:S2M) added 3.20% or 8.00 points to end at 258.00 and Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM) was up 3.09% or 44 points to 1469 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Disway SA (CS:DWY), which fell 6.44% or 21.00 points to trade at 305.00 at the close. Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) declined 4.88% or 4.37 points to end at 85.13 and Douja Prom Addoha (CS:ADH) was down 3.98% or 0.52 points to 12.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 17 to 17 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Disway SA (CS:DWY) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.44% or 21.00 to 305.00. Shares in Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) fell to all time lows; down 4.88% or 4.37 to 85.13. Shares in Douja Prom Addoha (CS:ADH) fell to all time lows; down 3.98% or 0.52 to 12.55.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.11% or 0.07 to $66.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.16% or 0.12 to hit $76.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.47% or 5.70 to trade at $1216.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.21% to 10.8210, while USD/MAD rose 0.13% to 9.5700.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 96.92.
