Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Invest Companies & Other Finance, Insurance and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Societe Equipement Domestique et Menager SA (CSE:EQD), which rose 9.64% or 102.00 points to trade at 1,160.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Wafa Assurance (CSE:WAA) added 7.64% or 298.00 points to end at 4,198.00 and Salafin (CSE:SLF) was up 7.31% or 38.80 points to 569.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Marocaine Ste de Therapeutique SA (CSE:SOT), which fell 4.70% or 47.00 points to trade at 953.00 at the close. Douja Prom Addoha (CSE:ADH) declined 3.53% or 1.07 points to end at 29.21 and Residences Dar Saada SA (CSE:RDS) was down 2.53% or 2.00 points to 77.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 27 to 18 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.08% or 0.88 to $82.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.08% or 0.92 to hit $85.92 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 3.75 to trade at $2,335.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.50% to 10.71, while USD/MAD rose 0.23% to 9.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 105.64.
