Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate, Utilities and Beverage sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.02% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Douja Prom Addoha (CS:ADH), which rose 9.94% or 3.41 points to trade at 37.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) added 6.00% or 169 points to end at 2986 and Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI) was up 5.98% or 251 points to 4451 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Snep (CS:SNP), which fell 6.02% or 50.00 points to trade at 780.00 at the close. Oulmes (CS:OULM) declined 5.98% or 113 points to end at 1777 and Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND) was down 4.62% or 12.90 points to 266.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 29 to 28 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 6.00% or 169 to 2986. Shares in Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI) rose to all time highs; up 5.98% or 251 to 4451.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.55% or 1.02 to $64.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.15% or 1.50 to hit $68.15 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.04% or 14.00 to trade at $1333.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.18% to 11.3820, while USD/MAD rose 0.28% to 9.1437.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.66% at 89.06.
