Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Healthcare and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC lost 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which rose 3.94% or 0.610 points to trade at 16.090 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) added 3.29% or 0.930 points to end at 29.230 and Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO) was up 2.99% or 3.100 points to 106.710 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which fell 3.81% or 0.510 points to trade at 12.880 at the close. PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) declined 3.38% or 6.57 points to end at 188.02 and El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) was down 2.40% or 3.23 points to 131.26.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 137 to 128 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.07% or 0.85 to $1288.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.71% or 0.90 to hit $51.69 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.83% or 1.13 to trade at $60.55 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.05% to 19.1333, while EUR/MXN fell 0.26% to 21.9305.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 95.268.
