Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms Services, Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB), which rose 5.62% or 17.97 points to trade at 337.64 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) added 4.57% or 2.050 points to end at 46.870 and America Movil SAB de CV (MX:AMXL) was up 3.38% or 0.480 points to 14.680 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1), which fell 5.40% or 7.36 points to trade at 128.99 at the close. Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) declined 4.95% or 1.370 points to end at 26.330 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) was down 3.97% or 0.540 points to 13.050.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 218 to 96 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Financiero Inbursa, SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.95% or 1.370 to 26.330.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.44% or 5.40 to $1217.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.87% or 1.24 to hit $64.94 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.57% or 1.19 to trade at $74.72 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 1.33% to 20.3197, while EUR/MXN rose 1.09% to 22.9980.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 96.86.
