Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms Services, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA), which rose 5.73% or 2.080 points to trade at 38.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) added 3.16% or 0.420 points to end at 13.700 and America Movil SAB de CV (MX:AMXL) was up 2.76% or 0.380 points to 14.170 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEXCHEM), which fell 4.00% or 2.450 points to trade at 58.780 at the close. Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) declined 2.15% or 0.630 points to end at 28.660 and Becle SA (MX:CUERVO) was down 1.92% or 0.590 points to 30.190.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 141 to 116 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.51% or 6.30 to $1234.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.30% or 0.20 to hit $67.02 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.66% or 0.50 to trade at $76.67 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.63% to 19.4864, while EUR/MXN fell 0.77% to 22.1586.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 96.40.
